We’re celebrating an incredible performance by our EFYC junior sailors who proudly represented Western Australia at the 2025 O’pen Skiff World Championships!
After five days of racing across a wide range of conditions, all of our young competitors delivered impressive results – both on and off the water.
⭐ Billie McCracken (U17s) had an outstanding regatta, finishing 16th overall and taking home 3rd Female in the world – a massive achievement on the international stage!
👏 Billie’s result was matched with impressive consistency and composure throughout the series.
🎉 We also congratulate:
-
Izzy Hobson (U13s) – 18th overall, 7th Female
-
Harriet Mellor (U17s) – 38th overall, 9th Female
All three sailors showed resilience and determination in a world-class fleet, proudly representing East Fremantle Yacht Club, their fellow WA sailors, and the spirit of Australian youth sailing.
The event also saw Kaison Puls (SoPYC) crowned the U17 O’pen Skiff World Champion, after a dominant and consistent performance – a huge congratulations from all of us at EFYC!
We’d like to thank the Ron Tough Yachting Foundation, Australian Sailing – WA, and the supporting clubs – South of Perth Yacht Club, Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, and of course, our very own EFYC – for enabling these sailors to reach new heights.
