Closing of the 89th Summer Sailing Season

Thursday, April 13, 2023

The weather is changing signalling the approach of the end of the 89th Summer Sailing Season here at East Fremantle Yacht Club. It’s been a great season with many highlights including the Club’s annual Rumble in the Reach Regatta, the D’Arcy Race, weekly Twilight Cruises, centreboard sailing and Power Boat photo competitions just to name a few. All these events require volunteers to make them a success which our Club is lucky to have in good measure.

To celebrate the Summer Sailing Season and mark its closing the Club will be holding a Summer Sailing Season Closing Day on 30 April 2023. The day will feature the All Sailors Pacer Challenge, a knock out competition for anyone wishing to enter. The winner of the Pacer Challenge will fire the cannon at 5pm to officially mark the closing of the summer sailing season. There will be lots of food and drink specials all day for those who wish to spectate, Members are encouraged to stay for presentations at 5.30pm which will include the Prize Wheel Extravaganza (free for all sailors, gold coin donation for all others). There will be prizes galore including a $100 restaurant/bar voucher, free Otherside pints, ice creams for the kids and more!
